1. keep calm.
Notice: Keep calm and do not react hastily! Avoid emotionality.

2. verification of the reasons for the house search
Notice: Once the police are at the door, ask yourself and the officers the following questions:
a) Who is the target of the search?
b) What reason is given for the search? Is something specific being searched for?
c) Read the Search warrant carefully through - in case of imminent danger, there will be no resolution.
d) Get the names of the officials.
e) Insist on the call to a Lawyer of your choice - the officers should wait to search until their Lawyer has arrived.
3. file an objection
Notice: File an objection to the search and seizures.
Do not sign anything.
4. presence during the search
Notice: Demand that the search only take place in your presence - one room at a time and only with you.
5. own witnesses - designate persons of trust
Notice: You refuse witnesses from the authorities or officials - you insist on your own witnesses whom you also trust. The officials should wait until your trusted person is on site.
6. do not make any statements!
Notice: They do not make any statements to the officers or have any conversations with them. Above all, you do not make any statements about the accusations. What you should say, however, is that you disapprove of the search and have this recorded.
7. which rooms are subject to search and which are not?
Notice: Only those rooms and buildings may be searched which were named in the search warrant. Other rooms refuse!
8. sealing of seized objects
Notice: Insist on sealing the confiscated items if they are very private. Only the public prosecutor may then view them.
9. do not resist
Notice: They have no duty to cooperate in the search, but also do not resist or obstruct the officers in their work.

10. evidence
Notice: Do not try to make anything "disappear". This refers to evidence and objects.
11. the search protocol
Notice: Have a protocol of the search handed over to you. The seized items must be listed in detail. The protocol must be drawn by the officers, not by you. It is advisable to make your own notes and take notes.
12. after the search
Notice: Write a memorial log. Have an objection made about your Lawyer and legally review the search!
